This keepsake box is covered with a dense Birdseye Maple veneer, and features the quilt block pattern Friendship Ring, a variation of the Dresden Plate pattern. The flower-like petals are made of (clockwise from 12:00) Box Elder Burl, Oak Burl, and Walnut Burl.
The box is 6" square and 4" high. It has cherry inside, black felt on the outside bottom, and real black velvet inside. The knob and hinges are solid brass.
